In 2016, I struck out on my own after 17 years of leading creative teams at Ogilvy and Deen+Black Public Relations in Sacramento working with dozens of clients across a variety of industries to help build/rebuild brands and effect large-scale social change. My blended career in advertising, design, public affairs and cause-related marketing has helped me adapt quickly to an ever-shifting communications landscape.

Crafting messages and design solutions for a broad range of social change programs and statewide initiatives to reach California’s diverse populations is my sweet spot. I’ve led the implementation of more than a dozen fully integrated, multilingual campaigns focused on an array of issues facing Californians and the nation including Marriage Equality, Elder Abuse Prevention, Teen Alcohol and Drug Prevention, Teacher Recruitment, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Traffic Safety, Protecting Women’s Right to Choice, Workers Compensation Insurance, Recycling, Home Energy Performance, Community College Affordability and Health Care Access.

I spent the first 10 years of my career in the Bay Area as an art director for Mervyn’s, Macy’s and Esprit overseeing brand development, photo art direction and package design.

I’ve judged 21 creative competitions at local and district levels across the nation (by invitation) for the American Advertising Federation. For over 25 years, I have been a member of the American Institute of Graphic Design (AIGA) and the American Advertising Federation (AAF).

I graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Communications Design from California State University, Chico.
